Are you joking? You have obviously not read my guide, and therefore do not possess the knowledge necessary to understand what this guide is even for. And I am not going to tell you. Your attitude makes one want to bash you over the head with some sort of golden lion bust.

you should stop here with the criticism/against each other attitude and better work together on a strong build for community :)

Your first post is understandable.

I have used Arcane Dynamo for quite a while before A2 Inferno. Once A2 rolled in, however, its use became restricted to bosses, which are nothing in difficulty compared to champion packs.

That 75% actually affects all damaging spells--that includes Hydra. Hydra becomes ridiculously strong. Nevertheless, you would not be allowed to use it very often against champion packs. When fighting them, you need to move around a lot. Away from the Hydra that you have cast--and sometimes you do not even have the time to shoot one orb.

It works wonders in anything before A2, though. Great for mfing.

I played a bit of co-op A4 Inferno last night (I consider myself being extremely undergeared for A4) with a Barbarian with AD as a passive. We were able to get 5 NVB and kill Izual with more than half the buff duration remaining. Depending on the affixes, packs of elites ranged from relatively easy to moderately annoying.

For 90% of the time, I was able to "spray and pray" as long as the barb kept the elites just outside my field of vision, thanks to Magic Missile//Seeker. I just had the know the general location of the mobs, and would have the barb telling me when they weren't reaching.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I think AD is a strong contender for a passive slot if you've got a barb or monk you can play with to draw enemy fire for an extended amount of time.

If you're very lucky, you might even be able to stand and shoot for a period of more than five seconds, all the while your Hydra is breathing its little green heart out. Seeker runed Magic Missile is a great spell that generates incredibly fast AD stacks (for me, but I've got a little over 2.0 attack speed) and also allows for "cheese" maneuvers (ex., shooting around pillars, being slightly more than a screen away and still hitting mobs from safety, curving to hit elites that are stucks behind/on terrain, etc.)

For those curious, the build I was using was http://d3db.com/tool/calculator/wizard/24891. Blizzard.. was actaully an oversight by my part, having been left over from previous solo attempts. However, in hindsight I think its worth keeping in. AD stacks to full in a matter of seconds, so the strategy while fighting elites I was using was something like:
  • Magic Missile to 5 Arcane Dynamo.
  • Cast Venom Hydra.
  • MM to 5 AD.
  • Cast Blizzard
  • Repeat.

Argueably, Blizzard could be replaced with Arcane Orb or a channeled spell, if you're feeling confident.

Ah, this guide is intended for solo-play. Didn't know you were talking co-op.

Strategy changes dramatically with tanks in the equation.

Yeah, I guess I should have prefaced that in my first post :P

Since this thread is for solo play, I also had a question for other wizards: who are you using as your follower, and how are you gearing/speccing them? Furthermore.. are they even [that] useful in Inferno?
