The reason im saying this is, I dont want Diablo 3 to end up like Diablo 2. I.E, scammmers,bots,cheat,hacks,dupes,spam,non english speakin people who are geting paid 1$ a week in a sweatshop because we want that bad ass item.
Ill go into detail. When a company stops selling there game in mass amounts, they no longer are making decent $$ to support that game, whatever it may be. So charging a small amount every month gives them ability to support it, and solve the problems such as cheaters, viruses, hacks, gold farmers wtf ever...... AND ADD NEW CONTENT, AND FIX THE OLD OFC
I personally also wouldnt want the guild wars approach either,...... coming out with an expansion every time someone cries so they can support there non paying game.
If Diablo 3 is not pay to play, I give it a few months before it turns into the shit hole that d2 did.

I seriously think you never ever played WoW then.
The game is overgrown with bots, spammers, hackers and third world players.
If you log into wow 8am you can be certain that for the next hour, any good deal you make is an account hacker. Thats because blizz doesnt open support untill 9am.. so they have 1hour free time to do what ever they want.
There are BIG hacking going on in every city. 10-15 chars flying around in the air spelling fucking goldwebsites names.
You cannot enter a city, without getting spammed by gold spammers, and you continuosly get whispered with spam.....
Seriously.. paying doesnt give you any better support AT ALL, not from blizz.
And if you do... it lasts a year max... just like in wow.
U used to be able to get a GM within minutes, now its... hey maybe in 6hours or tomorrow at best... but live support is gone, even though we pay millions to blizz every single month.
Screw those that think you get anything better by paying for it.. You dont. You get excactly the same, it just costs more.
Monthly payments is a scam in todays business.
Every single pay per month game is evidence of that. you dont get anything you didnt get in old games that were free per month.
Anyone thinking so, havent played the old games when they were new, or currently playing anything today that is pay per month.
The only thing thats needed to get rid of spam, is open up for ppl to make addons like in WoW. That way we can set parameters to get rid of spam. But hacking? Forget it, it will never ever die. And neither will goldsellers/itemsellers as long as you want an ingame economy.
Thinking paying monthly will help deter either of these things, really shows how little you thought about it. You just hope that by paying you get what you want. Reality just doesnt work that way Im sad to tell ya.
Oh and added content? Gsus fucking hell, you already pay for those ON TOP OF monthly payments. Just like before. Any extra content costs another fee. You have to go back MANY years to see free game updates that actually was free AND added something significant to the game.
