while thats true d4 will also sell because of the legacy of diablo 1 and 2. even though d3 was very bad, d4 will sell like crazy. the reason being i think is because they will say oh we fixed everything and of course casuals/noobs will buy into it because they dont actually know what made d1 and d2 good games and why d3 sucks. that cant put their finger on whats actually bad about d3. so they will think d4 will be good

U just perfectly described diablo 3.

Diablo 3 can should continue with more expansions. It's not that old and it would benefit from more content along with different types of content.

Diablo 4 should go in one of two paths:

1. First/third person action rpg-and area where blizzard hasn't really touched yet (overwatch being their first fps)

2. World of Diablo- wow has been slowly dying even though they still have millions of subscribers. If legion is their last expansion, they will need another mmo to harness the market.

I would be okay with either the action rpg or mmo. I really want a game that has amazing combat with a really creative skill system/creative skills.

Third /first person action rpg.....there is a huge shortage of medieval fantasy games in this viewing mode.


Think....lotr war of the north, shadows of mordor, hellgate London, with quality being much better of course.

NO, fuck first person view, it ruins the game.

And there really isn't any shortage. Every studio makes 1st/3rd person games these days, isometric or simillar is extremely rare.

Shortage? Play Witcher 3, it just came out like 3 months ago?

It would be third person with optional first person...not hard to understand.

They need to expand the series.

Lost Ark will dominate the birds eye view, hack and slash genre when it comes out, blizzard needs to get creative.




Witcher isn't multiplayer, nice try (and came out more than 3 months ago...., try last year) Pointing out one game or several games doesn't mean there isn't a shortage.


There are barely any couch coop games on the market in this genre.

Name one AA arpg title that had isometric or otherwise top-down view from the last few years. Oh yes, 2012, Diablo 3. THAT is shortage.

And how do you want to click on items that fall on the ground in 3rd/1st person view, it just isn't diablo-esque. Not at all.

I'm saying blizzard should expand their makers, you can't argue with that. Each one of their games have dominated each genre and gaming style. A third person, action rpg is an area where they haven't touched yet. They need to claim that market.


Like I said Blizzard has no chance against Lost Ark online when it's released.
