Wizard for farming gear.

I use my t10 tals/firebirds wand of woh build and gain mad materials per hour.

Thats not what OP asked, wand of woh takes a buttload of time to farm and to get the gear to farm t10, dh would be way better because you only need anc yangs for near perfect speed clear t10 otherwise you can clear t10 with non ancient multishot build. Impale set would be way better since you get it faster than anything.

when i play oregon trail i usually suggest banker for starting out because he gets the most starting money

play farmer once you're experienced he's hardmode

carny wd imo, barb dh and wiz now since patch 2.4 only class not really good start from square one sader. you can though if you want. its up to you play the game how you want. main thing what ever class you choose, focus in on a build. gl

Easiest to gear up initially is thorns crusader.
You get all the set pieces you need for the build.

You can easily get to gr60+ with this set, afterwards you can work towards bombardment sader for 75+ grifts.
Just keep in mind, if you collect the set on one character, you can't collect on another.
