I'm not saying it's going to be funner. It's relatively pointless to play right now imo. that's all

They're changing the exp gained at level 70 so it's going to be easier to level in 2.4 - no point in playing to level unless you're already established and grinding paragons in higher GRs in teams with exp gear
they're making it so the 4 bosses have a beacon so they're easier to find to get the machines for the uber portals - no point in farming hellfire ammys as it is going to be easier to find them in 2.4
they're making it so theres a beacon for a lot of the cache quests - no point in cache farming as it will be a lot faster in 2.4
plus they're attempting to balance a lot of the sets and adding so many friggin items a lot of the current builds will change a fair bit when 2.4 rolls out so why farm those builds?

I guess you could farm gold (since there's going to be gold sinks and they're lowering the gold rewarded I think?) and GR keys in t10 rifts and keep useful items that will be useful in 2.4 at the same time.

I will guess they're going to cool down on the d3 major patch stuff and work on a new expansion instead after 2.4 but I could be wrong.


All that aside, stop talking shit about a game you haven't played in 3 years. Your butt hurt status is off the charts. Move on.

Game is not better now than it was near the end of vanilla but it is better now than it was in 2.1-2.2

That being said, the game still lacks that addiction factor it once had when trading exists. Every player will hit the brick wall and with no trade left to keep farming for you are left grinding hundreds of hours for 1% upgrades and GR keys to fish with.

As it stands the game is fine for returning at the start of each season and having fun for 50-60 hours over a month or two period but that's about it. Usually within the first 2 weeks im bored and looking for other chars to level.

Also there is a massive difference between class quality that they are trying to fix in 2.4 but until they nerf the rings on PTR there is no way to even test any of it.

Tl;dr if i were bored in 2.1 youre going to be bored slightly slower in 2.3/2.4. Their changes added about 20 hours to the season enjoyment
