they fixed it. you can only reroll item sets that have 3 pieces or more in the set. And the resulting item will never be ancient.

To my understanding you can still reforge a legendary (lets say smk) to an ancient smk by using the reforge legendary recipe,
however they changed the formula that changed a set piece to another piece of that set so it can no longer be ancient.
