Introductory Lightning Build - Build crafted for Torment 4, Early Stages of Tuning

Fairly cheap build. The Kridershot is obviously not required and can in fact be any bow + Generator, ie., Entangling Shot - Shock Collar / Bolas - Thunder Ball / Grenade - Stun Grenade

No Marauder pieces required for the build and I'm not sure I would run them to start with. A lot of damage potential with 4-piece Natalya's Set + your Followers from 4-piece Asheara's Set. The cooldown is 60 seconds on the Followers, internal, so you have about a 50% uptime with the build. Multishot - Fire at Will has a 25% Proc Rate, so you will basically always get this. Should be Vault - Rattling Roll (haven't logged out yet), both it + Fan of Knives have a stun capability and give you a ton of mobility. Lead the fight off against the mobs with Rain of Vengeance, will have the cooldown refreshed.

Awareness / Perfectionist to keep you tanky as you position around. I think the gear has to be better tuned if you want to play in Torment 5+, this is just what I had on my mules. Tested this in a couple of T4 Rifts and had no problem clearing. Might be playing this build for a bit to see if I can change anything.

Moving onto Poison if I can get Kadala to give me what I want. So far, no luck.

M6 sentry build is actually the best spec DHs run!

Almost got my 6pc Maras. So pumped to try it out!

did sentry build at start and i played T6 pretty good with it.
changed my build to cluster with no sentry, did a few mistakes in the past with bad enchant decisions
when RoS was new. i just don't like the sentry build.. i love the DH but the sentry build for me was very
boring to play.

Been playing marauder build since the 2.0.5 (even before) and from what I've noticed lightining build is not that good. I got pretty good fire/physical/lightining items and I've compared all of them in different situations.

Physical one seems to be the best for rifting (high multi dmg for example)

Fire is the best for single targets (Mathael/Ghom)

Will share more with explanation and with videos soon. Also comparing different weapons.

lightning is just a fun build of course it wont be anywhere near as good as fire or phys, but my build stuns the crap outta everything!


gotta get people outta the habit of 'be as efficient as possible' and back to D2 days where people would play different builds for fun!

Yeah this was the goal of the Introductory Lightning Build, since this game isn't exactly too balanced and the best builds will always rise to the top.

If I wanna play with friends that aren't going to have a fun time in T5/T6, the Lightning Build is definitely recommended. Having all three followers as a bonus is hilarious to watch, my three are all equipped with Ess of Johans, so it makes it extremely entertaining to watch the mini pulls.

Still need to finish the Poison DH (which I think with the power level of the Poison abilities will also be for T4 level). My goal is to finish the Poison, work on the Cold (T3? T4?) and then work on a budget one geared for T1/T2 so I can show people what a starter build would look like.
