Ye well if you wanna brave the tough mp's you gotta build for it, grinding mp0 doesn't take that kind of gear to be dc-proof anyway

Of course there is a difference between dodge and block but they are both chance based where as all resist and armor are flat damage mitigation.

Why is he using OWE btw? He has 2 items with physical resist on and the rest is all resist, surely 86 all resist isn't worth a passive slot?

Would be a shame if you went down this route with your monk but this kind of thing is just a gimmick and if it's what you want to do, GL to you!

The advantage of his damage is, that its a constant damage. The farmingspeed of such a build should be superior on low level mp compared to high-crit builds.

I don't know the player, but have watched his profile for a few weeks too :)

With high crit chance you can throw a few hits, the place will fill up with cyclones and you can move on, he has no AoE outside of Mangle which must be pretty slow.

he'd also have died to the server crash few days ago, but 60% dodge is awesome ;D

that d/c was 33+ seconds ingame, cant even gear life/second against that

This isn't softcore... it's an entirely different ball game.

4k dex is absolutely incredible, even for softcore... and this is a HC char. His MINIMUM damage range must be massive, meaning he has constantly good damage output. Crit builds are nice for big numbers once in a while... but his damage range is so much better.

I'd MUCH rather run a character like this then one with 2k dex with damage inflated from crit.

The whole reason crit works is because of sweeping winds: cyclone, not for flashy numbers or paper DPS.

@Odin, what if RNG was against him? :D

Yeah, that's why I said maybe it makes sense for HC monk in my post.

And do you fully understand how monk skills work? shitload of the dmg output comes from the cyclones.

Explain what you are saying by his MINIMUM dmg range. And inflated dmg from crit??

Import his char on d3rawr, check the skill dmg and see how low his actual damage per second is.

Getting a 4k dex isn't that hard when you are skipping all the cc / cd mods on the gears.

But like I said, I guess it makes sense for HC monk.

Honestly your opinion means nothing, at all. Getting 4k dex isn't hard? Stick to softcore bro, you look like a fool.

Also, not EVERY monk in the world uses Cyclone. I use master of the wind personally, because I can keep it up 24/7 without having to recast... which gives me more spirit to use on skills like tempest rush / mantra spam.

His ACTUAL damage per second is insane. Character with 2000 dex = 2000% skill damage

This guy 4000 dex = 4000% skill damage.

How the hell is a 2000% increase in skill damage "actually really low" ??? Explain that please. He doesn't use cyclone... Cyclone is the ONLY skill a monk has that relies on crit procs, and it's not even in his build. Like I said before... Not EVERY monk uses cyclone. Especially HARDCORE monks.

His damage range with FoT is TWICE as high as mine. Also his sweeping wind has TWICE the min/max damage. He has the same exact sheet DPS as me, but his actual damage output is double what mine is.
