Exactly, it's why I said if you ever played Runescape before you wouldn't be getting scammed.

Anyone selling something that seems too good to be true, is more than likely the case. It's why you take extra precaution with trades like that, it doesn't matter how many trades you've done just fine in the past.

My brother is also victim of the stupid scams, guy said "ILL ADD A STAR RUBY ONLY 100k extra Okay?" and swapped out the 8M 1 handed axe he was trying to buy, for something shitty that looked the same.

Runescape added an extra trading screen and notifies when a stack is lowered, good idea for in d3 imo

never played a dogshit game liek runescape

and to be fair, 100 brims for 10m isnt even that amazing of a deal. its less than 50% off. it seemed feasible as somebody that didnt want to pay the AH cut, and wanted to clear their inventory of them quickly.

but what the fuck do i know

well 100 brimstone for 10 million isnt really "too good to be true", its pretty much market price :) (on EU SC, Brimstone are 110-120k on GAH)

But until blizzard decides to fix this (why its like this now, i'll never know, guess blizzard devs are dumb after all, i mean shitfaced dumb), some advice. Never be in a hurry to click accept. Wait a few seconds, see what happens. Scammer will try to bait and switch rather quickly after posting the item or money, so just wait and see. easy.

These are two completely different scenarios. One, a player got scammed due to a known exploit with the "secure" trade screen interface involving stacks of items. Two, your "dumb" brother didn't re-check the item he was purchasing for 8m when his trade partner dropped the tradescreen to add an item. Your "dumb" brother failed, while the OP's secure interface failed though it gave the impression everything was fine.

That being said, OP should have known better. We knew brimstones had this bug and to be honest the only reason people have attempted to hype them as "the new currency" recently is so that they would have more oppertunity to do just this.

Sorry for your loss.
Reminds me of fooling people into the drop hack back in d2. Would trick someone into going to a fake website that looked like they were downloading a dupe, and it made them drop all their items and then leave the game.
