Has nothing to do with downloading anything if you'd pay attention.

There is a piece of malware (emcor.dll is what is being reported at the moment) that is being used as a hijacking tool to facilitate Man-in-the-Middle attacks on users.
You don't get that without either a. visiting bad sites b. downloading something unsafe

the mitm is what may be getting the final information but there must be the way the man can get in the middle

Like I said, pay attention. I clearly said that you don't actually have to download anything for this to happen. The infected malware can be embedded in legitimate sites.

And yet when you access any webpage you are downloading things, it doesn't just create itself on your computer by magic~ regardless although it is partly blizzards fault most of the blame should lie with the user and inadequate security on their end.

There are advertisements that use flash and by simply visiting sites with said advertisements people have had their world of warcraft accounts "hacked". This happened on mmo-champion awhile back and I too lost my wow account for a little bit. They even said that the hackers have a broadcast of malware that holds our authenticator codes, assuming I read this correctly @ 5am...

Spybot (Search & Destroy) would find these & be able to remove them. Use daily or weekly for no trouble. Just a tip for anyone.
