I've recieved some interesting questions.
lots of them were: do you have mana issues?
Yes, I sometimes have to wait with spamming bears if I can't get enough mana from soul harvest. My mana pool is currently 740 and I think that if it is increased to a larger amount, I'll actually be able to keep spamming the bears.

Vision Quest!
Grave Injustice(optional)

How to play it:
The essence in this spec lies within Vision Quest, whenever 4 or more spells are on cooldown, you'll regain 300% mana which means that the expensive spell, Zombie charger, can be used at almost all times.
It is important that you keep the 4 or more on cooldown, so you'll sometimes have to waste Big Bad Voodoo on trash/white even though it seems useless, but your damage will be dominating compared to the others!
It is also important that you use Spirit walk to run into groups of 4+ to gain the buff which gives you more int. This will make the damage of zombie charger incridably insane!
When a large group of packs are dying, you'll reduce the cooldown of all your spells, which means that you can keep Spirit walk up. Spirit walk gives a lot of mana and should be used as soon as it is off cd. Except if you are on a fight where you have to use spirit walk to avoid several abilities.
When Big Bad Voodoo is activated, you can spam your zombie bears, this will clear up your path really quickly, so you want to stay as far ahead as possible. This is where Spirit walk come handy!, use it wisely.

Survival:
When you are using the zombie bears, make sure to keep the Grasp ahead of you, so they wont reach you in time, if they should, you'll have Spirit Vessel to protect you. Make sure not to overextend the next 90 secs if this activates.
If you have survival problems, change the Big Bad Voodoo for fear or mass confusion depending on your preferances. But if this is played correctly, you shouldn't have any problems.
When creeps has vortex, you can simply Spirit walk away if it's on cooldown or prepare to use hex.
Survial is a big deal because this spec needs you to hang in low range. But no worries! your enemies will Perish!


I've soloed act 1 and 2 inferno boss already, and haven't tried further. If you are soloing as this, you'll be running into packs with spirit walk -> soul harvest -> grasp -> move a bit back and then spam the bears. Even rare and blue packs will lose half their life doing this process.

I've been using explosive bears/zombie bears + vision quest for the last couple days and it's far and away the highest damage output build for witch doctor. Spirit walk with mana rune is incredible imo.

when im in a group I play around with a more supportive/cc role with grasp of death and acid cloud + bad medicine (I'm a huge fan of bad medicine)

my current build with zombie bears is the following.

passives
Vision quest (this is an insane passive btw. anyone who hasnt tried it really should)
bad medicine (bears do poison and so do my dogs. this is optional)
blood ritual (really helps with the mana.)

Left click = zombie bears
right click = spirit walk with mana rune

Q = Wall of zombies with additional slow rune (basically your grasp with a longer cooldown and more damage + ability to block choke points)
W = Fetish army with reduced cooldown rune
E = Zombie dogs with poison rune
R = Gargantuan with whatever rune you prefer


summon all your shit and lay down your wall. spam zombie bears at the mob while they stand still and hit your summons.

I can not wait to have enough mana regen gear to use pierce the veil + vision quest + zombie bears.

The reason I dont like wall of zombies is because some creeps tend to walk around it without being hit, I don't know if that is the intention or a glitch. Another thing is that the cd on woz is 25 where it is 8 on grasp. The slow effect on woz is 60 I think and it's 80% on grasp.
Fetish army is a good cooldown in single player, but I would never use it with more.
Zombie dogs isn't a good choise imo, at least not if you are on Inferno. I cannot tell you if it's good in the lesser difficulties though. But my experience says that they die way too fast.

I do understand that you can keep some summons up to keep the mobs away, but you'll lose too much nuke I think. Overall, this is a safe spec, but slowly. I'd still suggest Grasp instead of woz to this spec, but that is ofc up to you:)

I do something very similar lol..

I use 'jungle fort' instead of 'Grave injustice' and instead of 'big bad vodoo' I use 'Jar of spiders (Jumping)'.

Reasoning: The jar of spider is great single target/range and literally costs 3 mana (you regen mana faster than you can spend it with this). I feel like this is too good to have when im low on mana.

you don't run into mana problems without spiritual attunement? i'd say replace grave injustice with spiritual aattunement for even faster mana regen. use up grasp of dead, hex, soul harvest, and spirit walk to keep up the benefit of vision quest. save big bad voodoo /w mana rune for champ packs so you can continuously spam bears nonstop

just tested it and it's been working, nice build imo

I'm using gargantuan, zombie bears, grasp of dead, soul harvest (mana), spirit walk (mana) , fetish arm

jungle fortitude or spirit attunement, vision quest, spirit vessel

I really dont know do you need final gift to do this.

The thing is that you dont need to spamm spirit walk to stay alive. Also when fighting rares etc you cant spamm spiritwalk because those mobs dont die so fast.
Im using spiritbear build also and all normal mobs die extremely fast that its really not problem at all.
I have build that gives you maximal survivability beacause you mostly want to kill ALL blue and yellow monsterpacks.

My WD has 12k dps and 30k hp

I'm using

poison dart ( SpinedDart ) for mana in smaller number packs.
Locust Swarm ( Devouring Farm ) For insane mana regen in larger packs
SpiritWalk ( Honored Quest ) Manaregen in every fight and also survivability in elitepacks
Soulharvest ( Siphon ) To make superbears and get lifeback in fight
BEEEEAAAAAARRRRSSS (To kill every mofo in game)
Big Bad Voodoo ( Ghost Trance ) or if you have low health (Slam Dance)

Passives
Jungle Fortitude (20% dmg reduction) Must
Bad Medicine (Another 20% dmg reduction) Also Must and imba skill in teamgames also if needed.
Spirit Vessel (For another chance)

Tactics........ Harvest throw swarm to reduce everyones damage by 20% spamm spiritbears(thease also reduce everyones damage 20% and and... all dead.

Im not sure how viable build this is for witchdoctors with low manapool. I have 950 mana without passives wich increase it.

Feel free to ask questions.

Edit. Im using also templar when soloing with 2heals and stun
