If you are using three poison skills in darts, locusts and zombie charger, does it make sense to use bad medicine?

1838.17 DPS
5.7k life

Not sure if that's good or bad.

Zombie Dogs - Life Link
Soul Harvest - Siphon
Horrify - Frightening Aspect
Gargantuan - Restless Giant
Firebomb - Roll to Bones
Locust Swarm - Pestilence

That's just my skill setup for mob clearing. In A2 Nightmare and it's working well so far (for most things).

About the mana prob this is how I solved it:

Psn dart with mana regen rune (nice with a free skill, decent dmg that generates mana. Nuff said =) )
Spirit walk with mana rune ( CC break, epic escape, speed and awesome mana regen.)
Locust swarm with mana Rune ( In big packs I put out 1 then it spread so fast so i just spam Acid cloud with range rune and get sick dmg and I get more mana back then what I brun)
Max mana and mana regen on Mojo (offhand)
Max mana on Vodomask

ofc I go oom sometimes but it's only on single targets.
When i go OOM i use spirit walk and psn dart. Full mana in about 3 secs so it's not that bad. And dont forgett I can't get hurt during that time ;)

Forgot to mention my passives: Jungle Fortitude, Spirit Vessel, Blood Ritual

Blood Ritual is crucial for mana conservation. With the skill setup I mentioned above, I never go out of mana.
Give it a try. It's not for boss fights though.

e: I just feel like with all of the mana-based runes you're using you might be losing DPS that will be crucial later on.

Yes but Jungle Fortitude > Bad Medicine easily.
Pierce is necessary for DPS
Spiritual att can be swapped for Bad medicine but I have low mana so that's why I'm using that.

I'm going to try out Blood Ritual VS. Spiritual attun.
And completely agree it's not worth to save and stack pure mana to sacrifice life/survivability/dps.

Swapped spiritual attunement w/ blood ritual since I'm pretty stacked on vit the replenish and mana saved is making a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE difference in inferno atm

I'm only in act 2 of NM but this has worked very well for me and is rather fun,

Charge into a large group cast soul harvest (siphon), locust swarm (pestilence), run out of crowd with spirit walk (umbral shock). Creates a big WD bomb, the umbral shock damage is actually quite nice when coupled with pestilence. By the time your explosion occurs your gargantuan should have caught up to tank the left overs while you sit back and spam fire bombs.......

my guess is this won't work so well in hell and on but pretty cool for mid level.

My impression is that once you get to hell and inferno, you will need to cast spirit walk to allow you to run into the crowd, cast the spells and quickly run out.

atm still low lvl 21

the thing that inrest me about Witch Doctor is that have gzz dam overtime, and gzz crowd control, and gzz mana-life repl-regen!
great vs alot monsters
posible vs boss, you need other spec,
but aiming for best setup vs alot monsters, if stronk gear=more monsters at ones, but always keep control+good safty+decent kill speed

damage overtime vs hard damage when standing and casting!
since i have gzz dam over time sks, and gzz zoo, and drain/repl/regen overtime
makes me not care about how long it takes!
in this time, i can grab gear/gold, wait for cooldown, heal/regen, agro/drain/attrack new monsters, and run!

sks that intrest me for gzz drain

Haunt Consuming Spirit: more monsters the better!, no cooldown, decent damage overtime, nice but slow heal overtime, can be stacked
ofc soul harvest, also have a cooldown

ofc is gzz, but i would mix in some of my own stuff!
but main point, is this gzz passive skill!
Vision Quest, whenever 4 or more spells are on cooldown, you'll regain 300% mana which means that the expensive spell

makes me need 3more cooldown sks! allow me to use a non cooldown mass mana consuming skill!

ofc i like some zoo!
more zoo=zoo live longer, cooldown becomes less problem
zoo=the cooldown needed for ''Vision Quest'' = also less clicks /sec needed, makes it more ezz!
Hex, Hedge Madic, some heal and it can take damage
Zombie Dogs, Leeching Beasts !

i nn
20% of the time usible skills, like voodoo/spirit walk
mebe i am wrong here, but not feels good!

the rest i see later, something that fits good to it!
