as i said above (edited my post), he probably bought something, some items are expensive

also my best friend used to have like 200 k fg every year and he bought so many items in real life trades forum

some ppl still invest fg into pixels, some ppl buy real stuff, but you have to have an access to the donor forum and be not duper, gambler, etc.

you want to pay 20,000 fg for the equivalent of a sigons armor in d3? then sure, stockpile FG.

The # of people who buy diablo 3 will be more than 100x the people who buy D3 who are active on d2jsp. As a result, only a tiny minority of the players will be able to use FG as a currency. The vast majority will use whatever currency blizzard creates for the game, like they did with world of warcraft's gold. And blizzard will create a currency and will intentionally stifle the d2jsp economy, because that is in their direct financial interests. They want people to be paying them money, not having profits leeched off to third parties, like people buying FG. Thats economics. All things put together, you'll experience hyperinflation that disrupts FG as a currency and quickly turns it into disney dollars / monopoly money.

You can enjoy d2jsp being a stable economy up until the D3 release, but once that comes around, all your stockpiling will be completely worthless.

that offends me as a game designer

I started Ladder Slasher back in 2009.

I came into the game with ~1000fg that I had made from D2 trades as well as doing some signatures in the Graphics Request forum.

I invested all of that into Ladder Slasher and continued to play on and off up to the current date.

You can now see my current FG amount and I have equally as much as that in gear (most likely more but wanted to be modest) so yes, I am glad I invested into Ladder Slasher.







I think people should play LS because they enjoy it, not to make mass profits, but whatever floats your boat. I have not only made profits, but also enjoyed most of the time I invested into the game, so it's a win/win for me.

I enjoy it, and I really don't care if you don't. The the game is obviously not for you. Perhaps you would prefer hopscotch or checkers.

I also have no real use for FG, but this topic seemed to be directed in that manner, which would explain my reply.

I also noticed you don't even have any LS characters, so you have somehow failed at failing.

You need FG? Last time I needed it, I made 15,000 within 24 hours without any effort or luck required, just by playing smart and exploiting something non-obvious.
