Hey guys,

I played diablo 3 for a while. After they took out AH I kind of left and haven't returned since. They came out with ROS and some patches, how does the game work now? I looked at the forums and people don't even sell items they sell services. Anyone want to give me a quick rundown of what's going on? I'm curious and I might start playing again.

You pretty much just grind for the gear yourself. I just started again as well and honestly I like it. Less time spent on forums/AH and more time actually playing. A lot of people here will probably tell you the game is shit but whatever.

Unlike D2 and PoE, the loot system is rigged in your favor.
For example: If you lvl a wizard, you will get items with int on it 99% of the time, or dex if you're playing a monk, etc.
So theoretically you never need to trade. You can trade with people you are in a game with though for a few hours I think after the item drops.

So it's not a matter of IF you will get the item you want, but a matter of WHEN. Whereas in PoE, you may never see a high tier unique (I've never seen a Shav's drop in 3 years).

No trading anymore...no wonder it lost so many people. Probably just fun for a regular play-through.

No one forced no one to spend time on ah and or forums.

of course no one is openly forcing anyone to do that, but the way the system was designed and working is forcing players to do so if they want to stay on top of the game item/gold value wise.

otherwise, it's either credit card warrior, average gear players, or get lucky.
