I'm quietly amazed at what they've done with the game. Rifts, Greater Rifts, Cow Level, Vault, crafting synergy via Cube/material breakdowns, and what seems to be quite a few builds.
A lot of the reason I quit was because (a) Inferno was fucking brutal and unrewarding, and (b) listening to too many fucking opinions and not formulating my own.
A big reason why I loved D2 is because I just did whatever the hell I wanted, and it was great to be young and naive. I decided to approach D3 with the same mindset, and I'm having a blast.
There's always gonna be specific builds and guides to push to end-game... Same as there is in any game. And yeah, getting better times, better gear, becoming better, sure, that's fun. But harmless farming, dicking around and reading lore, enjoying the aesthetics again... it's brought me back to my roots. I enjoy the game again.
Just felt like sharing.
TLDR: DIABLO N STUFF.
you seem like a pretty casual player, diablo 3 is your game
