what does ''requires 30 rank gem'' means ?

You have to level up a legendary gem to the required level before it will be able to be used for the enchant.

Say you leveled a bane of the trapped to level 35. You can enchant it to a piece of armor/weapon and it would give you whatever Stat at gem rank x 5.

My wizard can get a level 40 gem in less than 30 minutes. If you're worried about the time, then you're probably not to the point of worrying too much about augmented items. I would level up your main gems used in your jewelry for rifts and greater rifts, then farm until you have a fast regular rift setup, then work on getting augmenting items for greater rifts. Most people don't augment their regular rift items, because you can only kill T10 so hard before it's overkill.

If you augment greater rift items when you're spending most of your time in regular rifts, then you have a higher chance of augmenting a mediocre ancient item, then finding a better upgrade, only to have to augment again. I suggest not augmenting anything below level 50-60 gem level.
