im coming back to d3 after not playing for 6+ months looking to play a barb again, seems like everyone is using the ik set and focus/restraint rings

Can't answer you specifically because in 3 years I've never played a barb, but check DiabloFans, sort by 2.3 and popularity.

Wastes with restraint focus and bk weaps for speed clearing rifts.
Ik+wastes with obsidian ring, unity, and convention of elements for higher grifts.

Just play on the PTR if you do seasons because it's resetting soon.

Crusader seems to be the new OP class. Speed clears grift 80 with blessed shield. Blessed shield costs no wrath and dmg increased by 800% for each ancient item you wear.
Crusader also has the option to go full tank (roughly 200m toughness) and kill everything with just thorns. Seen grift 100 done with this.

Firebirds fire wizard is coming back as well. Big buffs. Sitting around grift 80 on PTR.
