Why does it feel so dead right now I just got the game and I returned back to the forums just to see that diablo 2 has more followers than diablo 3 ;_;

It's funny because it's obvious tons of people still play it yet the crowd who bought the game at launch and hated it (hello! I'm one of those!) still talk trash like everyone agreed with them.
Think for one second that some of these guys actually continued to give it a chance after some amount of time and are finding it an enjoyable sit down and beat the shit out of mobs game because why not? That's really all this series has ever been unless you were part of a trading community like JSP.
Beating monster is WHY people play video games.

Lets look at Skyrim vs Diablo III:
Both are single player games (trollolololol).
Both involve you killing monsters.
Both involve getting gear from said monsters or crafting.
Both involve you exploring and talking to NPCs.
Both have a main quest line.
Both deal with magic and fantasy play.

The difference is just the way the games got to that end result.

They're also probably counting console. And the game is admittedly fun to play with your buddies drunk on a Friday night sitting on the couch fucking up a bunch of skeles seeing big numbers fly across the screen to enlarge your penis size.

Granted, I completely agree that the game feels dead - they still failed at getting a multiplayer game to feel multiplayer.
