So.. I am a lvl 60 monk. My monk is becoming fairly beefy but there are some mobs (desecrators in particular) that still just rape my face off. My dps is still lacking a little but i'm waiting for the right weapon to buy.

Currently some important stats of note are: (all base stats without buffs)

Str: 384
Dext: 857
Int: 229
Vit: 828

Armor: 3881 (56.4% reduction)

Resists: 293 to all (49.3% reduction)
Now to get this number I have stacked cold resists in all my gear and use the passive One With Everything

DPS: 4838 (weapon has 440 dps)
I've noticed that for every 100dps on my weapon I gain about 1000dps overall.. Ex: if i upgrade my weapon to 540, my dps will go to 5800ish.

Life per second regen: 283
Life steal: 2.8%

Life on hit: 215
This stat i feel requires quite a bit of attention in discussion on it's exact mechanic and at what number it becomes viable

Magic Find: 70% (so far)
Health: 28908 (unbuffed)
Ideally I feel i want to be in the 45k range
I've noticed that so far about every +50vit is adding around 1800+/- life.

I'm also using 1h spearand ashieldso my dps is lower.
Shield has 17% block @ 1900-2700 dmg
I'm looking towards snaggingtwo justice ringswith ideal stats for monks whichadd +11% chance to block.. that would put a shield with 17-20% base close to 40% block chance.
I"m wondering what the highest possible %chance to block achievable is.

Attack speed: 1.32
+Crit chance: 5%
+Crit dmg: 50%
Dodge chance: 27%
My friend has 60% chance to dodge however the most i've had is 40%. 27% seems low.

For the most part i'm trying to stack Vit/Dext/MF/Coldres as my main stats as much as I can. I want to get to 100% base MF I feel that will be plenty without sacrificing too much in other stats.
I try to avoid using items that are primarily str/intel based. Another stat of noteworthy use is +IAS%, The damage increase scales but at around my DPS, +12% added around 350 DPS

For skills I use elective mode (can basically choose any skills you want to use)

1. Breath of Heaven (heal)
--Rune: Penitent Flame (fears enemies)

2. Serenity (3 second immunity)
--Rune: Peaceful Repose: (Heal)

3. Mystic Ally (Useful in off-tanking mobs)
--Rune: Earth Ally (grants +HP)

4. Mantra of Conviction (+damage)
Rune: Reclamation (Heal)
This is not my primary mantra build but I'm experimenting for now. My main mantra was evasion w/ armor buff.

Left Click: Way of a hundred Fists
--Rune: Spirited Salvo (Spirit Regen)

Right Click: Blinding Flash
--Rune: Faith in Light (xtra Damage)
Also experimenting with this rune but I feel blinding flash is a must to have on your bar.

Passives
Transcendance: spirit spent heals you: currently at 62hp/per spirit How does this scale?
One with everything: Makes all your resists the same as your highest resist (cold resist for me @ 292)

Resolve: Reduces enemy damage by 25% for 2.5 seconds after striking
Again not one of my main passives but just experimenting.

That's all for now.. Questions, comments, concerns. GO

PS I use the enchantress in solo play and have her using every crowd control ability she has.

You obviously arent 60? but this is what you do - get to 60 as quick as possible. Glitch your spirit with crit; stack triple mantras' - never lose hp. Rape everything before they potentially fix it ;(

I wouldn't be farming inferno if i wasn't lvl 60 ;)

And i'll try that out? Interesting.. I like glitching!

I'm assuming you crit and gain spirit then spam your mantras to heal you?!?!

I also don't see how well this can work if you become frozen or stunned, vortexed or knocked back and cannot attack or do anything. My build is meant to be played while being evasive and taking your time to widdle down elite mobs and bosses and popping your cooldowns too so you can stand still for about 5-6 seconds attacking.

Yes I can actually, normal mobs go down fast. A few elite mobs are still unkillable. Any elite mobs that have a combination of aoe damage are unkillable. Arcane/desecrators etc.

I also 1 shot skeleton king by myself. It took about 15 minutes though lol.

Nobody has anything else to add? I want to hear what some other monk inferno farmers are doing and any troubles they are having.

So far I'm having a pretty similar experience.

What do you normally use in place of Resolve? I feel like that one is pretty necessary
I've been using Healing Mantra with the shield rune, might try out dodge though
Also been using crippling wave for the AoE and damage reduction and Deadly Reach for +%dmg and kiting, what advantages does WotHF have?

Transcendence - probably my favorite passive. It only scales by level, so at 60, 62 life per spirit is max, but you can get that stat on your gear to increase it

Transcendence is clearly a leveling only passive you noobs. It does not scale with gear so it gets worse and worse the more HP you gain. I stopped using it before even hitting level 60.

Blinding Flash is amazing, I agree. I have it runed to increase blind to 4 seconds.

For your spirit building primary skill you should experiement with an AOE attack. I find it much easier to tank with.

Next, I really like the Cyclone thing that brings all your enemies to you. I'd use that in place of your minion. I think all those minions really suck no matter how runed.

Lastly, you will not be able to solo inferno with this build because of enrage timers... Get a group, or get more dps.

Yeah crippling wave with the damage reduction is what i meant for the primary. Sorry @ work so I can't look up skills atm.

Does anyone know if the debuff from this stacks with the passive that decreases enemy damage done? That would be pretty OP if so...

Making a second post in a row because it deserves it's own: DPS Monk!

I have been trying out something new and wanted to share my dps spec.

seven sided strike. CDR rune.
damage mantra. runed for 2x damage with party, use the 11%/second rune if solo.
sweeping winds. runed for 20%per stack damage.
serenity. runed for 4 seconds total.
the first primary skill you get with the first rune to get me a 6 yard teleport to enemies. thunderclap is name of rune, but forget skill name.
blinding flash on right click runed for 4 seconds.

passives:
cheat death thingy.
15% CDR.
25% more spirit generated with 2h.

using a rotation i can build really offensively and stay immune to damage for the majority of the time. for the few seconds while skills are on cooldown it's usually a good time to fix positioning, pick up health globes for party, or just try and avoid damage.
i rarely stay in battle w/o cooldowns.

again sorry for lack of skill/rune names i'm at work currently
