If you're talking about CoD4, then it's a definite no. I virtually only play SnD and CoD4 SnD is definitely slow-paced. It's the maps' fault though. There's little incentive to rush on some maps, because there's no infinite sprint. Defense doesn't gain anything by pushing up, because they're given map control by default. The rounds are 2.5 minutes long, so offense also waits for defense to get impatient and expose themselves. The only way to properly push is with a competent team and flood the enemy. The main redeeming feature of CoD4 is most deaths are due to a gun, rather than countless cheap gimmicks from other CoDs, however most of those deaths are the M16.
I'm having fun with it, but it's really hard to clutch due to the maps.
IW on the other hand is playing really well for SnD at the moment. Granted, not everyone has all the features unlocked and figured out, but I'm level 40 and so far SnD is basically gun-on-gun, which is awesome, because it's also fast-paced. I've had more fun on IW than CoD4, but I enjoy both.
Yea I meant IW.. I like it.. lot of ppl bashing it befoe release now everyone like goat..haha agree on mwr tho..

Honestly, I played one game of IW on the day of release and haven't played it since. I haven't played a cod since ghosts, so the movement seems extremely foreign to me. I really don't care for it at all. On the other hand, having a lot of fun with MWR. TDM is hit or miss, due to any large maps being essentially sniper lobbies. The nostalgia with the M40 is real lol. Been playing a lot of dom and unless it's overgrown, it's usually pretty fast paced.
Yup a lot diff from the old days
