cosmetics microtransaction been there since bo2.
Without microtransaction, they would make less money. With less incomes, means probably less games/contents.

Microtransaction keep video games companies alive.

They would survive, but they would be like "oh im not doing as much money as i wish i would, lets just close our doors".

Also, im pretty sure they aren't making as much money as they used to ever since bo2. It's just a matter of time.
