My goal is to start making commentaries and such, but I want to know which capture cards work the best for the money. Not buying one right away, as I'm broke until I start work after school ends next week! Just looking for opinions is all.

Get an El Gato. I've had the HDPVR and HDPVR2, which both worked great, but unfortunately they don't work with xsplit or OBS when it comes to direct input streaming if you wanted to use a facecam with a delay. The streaming programs can technically allow for a facecam and delay, but you have to screen cap your monitor, which results in screen tearing. Anyway, ever since I got my El Gato I have been very pleased with the quality and with streaming.

I've always heard great things about those, not too expensive either. I'm not going to get too serious with it, not trying to get YouTube famous or anything. Just the occasional serious commentary along with fail montages and funny snd montages.

I got an Elgato and have not had any regrets. Awesome capture card.

Between the shit I've read along with you guys said I'm going to go with the El Gato.
