Do weapons/gear or purchased load out slots reset when you prestige?
or anything like that, just curious what ya lose if anything. Any info is appreciated

You lose everything and nothing at the same time.
When you prestige you are just Level 60 and you have to go to another soilder to continue leveling otherwise you can just play on the Level 60 character with everything still unlocked.
But as you progress through characters ( soldiers ) you keep your squad points so usually around every prestige if you only buy 1-2 classes you should have about 150-250 squad points for the next prestige.
