I have between a 30 to 32mbps connection on my PC, phone, and iPad but when I connect my ps3 to my net I only get between 6 to 8mbps (wired and wireless). Is there any way to increase the connection speed? I've tried static ips and my ps3 won't even connect to the psn.

The router isn't the issue. The wireless and wired connections on my cable modem are connecting at high speeds but the ps3 isn't

In other words you can program how much bandwidth you want to go to each wireless device.
You might have to send it to Sony and have them slap a new wireless adapter in that shit for a good 150 $

are you connecting to the internet manually on ps3? or going with recommended

try port forwarding on the router and using one of the different IP's on the ps3.

also. if you're just basing the connection speed of what the ps3 is tell you. it isn't very accurate.

hence the note at the bottom of the screen telling you it's estimated and you should only use it as a reference.

I thought of that but I would have to upgrade the wireless adaptor and the ps3 modem cause they both connect around 8mbps

Yes I'm aware of that, I access my web browser and do a speed test via my ISP website and speedtest.net to compare and I get the same results.

Porting only works half the time and I'm not looking for 1 to 2 good games followed by 10 shitty connection games. If I wanted to run static ips or port I'd be better off just running a USB modem
