Dead Silence doesn't actually fully mute you either. I noticed when I played GB's that you can still hear people moving, especially sprinting. And personally I can't live without Dead Silence, footsteps are like dinosaurs without it..

i use deadsilence for my benefit so i don't hear my own feetsteps
