He points out the fact that one of the main reasons people play is because of the social aspect and that's very true. Why play multiplayer games if there's no one to play with? A lot of these other unsuccessful multiplayer games are generally more clunky. If they're specifically FPS, then they're usually compared to CoD games and tend to fall short of standards people have come to love.
Lastly, the ragers are generally trolling. The way people act is a product of the internet and being keyboard warriors, which isn't CoD's fault.
