Ground war based on sheer numbers. More people getting lodestars and warships and shit and you'll have more teammates that they'll aim at while you shoot them down. Dragonfires are #1 though, however I rarely seem them anymore

Search definitely for gun xp, you can get several attachments per game.

Sharpshooter also helps if you manage to get the X2 bonus constantly, but Search would be the best way if you get the kills
