no it makes them more accurate

it makes the swat a lot weak tho

Swat is the only gun I've ever used select fire on and I liked it. Just keep on full auto and burst fire for long distances. Helps a lot for close battles.

Not completely true. Just makes them shoot slower. (lower fire rate than their previous cap) And gives additional recoil.

As previously mentioned, the only weapon with a range change via select fire is the SWAT, which doubles it's fire rate but absolutely destroys it's range... taking it's 3 bullet kill from 165 -> 7, and it's 4 bullet kill from 333 -> 108. While also giving it too much recoil to handle.
