No, they enjoy winning and thats the only way they can do it.

If everybody took the game a little less serious, and played to win but not in a lame cheap manner cod would be much more playable.

Not to mention that COD4 Maps>

They didn't allow for camping much.

So you're telling me you can't have fun by playing the game serious or by winning?
I think everyone enjoys winning

You're view of cheap is their view of strategy/tactical

I know the difference, i've been playing since cod3..

If somebody is patrolling an area or bunked up watching an objective fair enough, and i will recognise when somebody is better than me. What i have a problem with is joining a FFA where i'm running about and everybody is sweating in corners staring at doors. Sure i still win but its fucking boring having to be fucking stupid cautious round every corner and crouch about the place so some little sweaty 12 year old camper prone in a corner with like 6 kills doesn't get me.

The matches are boring as fuck. I managed to win most FFAs on MW2 in under 2-3 minutes, when i play FFA on ghosts the camping is so fucking bad half my matches time out. A mix of stupidly huge maps and everybody camping just ruins it.

TL/DR i've been playing long enough to know the difference between an idiot camper and tactics.

For anybody who has played cod long enough and is over 18 will recognise how the community has got so lame. People haven't gotten better, they have just got more desperate to win, so adopt the best tactics that involve the least skill.

I agree and disagree a little bit with what everybody is saying.

I think the skill level has grown somewhat, due to the fact that people usually get pretty good if they've been playing the franchise for the last 8-10 years. It's not the community that I miss, it's the simplicity. Everything after WaW was overkill. Cod4 and WaW had useful perks, but not many were overused (except jugg + mp40/mp5) and the things that were overpowered were easily countered if you're a good player. Now, you have people calling in juggernauts, becoming a chopper gunner, or even becoming Mike Myers or the fucking predator. 3/5/7 kill streaks were as far as they should've went. Gun skill always prevailed in the older cods along with being smart and outplaying people. Now you might outplay somebody just to find a dog waiting around a corner, or an entire house filled with IED's. It's just become a shit fest. I do not use any assault or support streaks, only specialist and even that feels op. I'd be fine if the next cod had no kill streaks or perks, which obviously would never happen!

Yeah there a lot less bullshit in old cods for people to abuse.

I think one of the main things they need to get back into the game is SP or Jugg, it balances out Anti-UAV perk. Like you should have to choose between stealth or gunfight advantage.
Maps in new games are fucking dildos, and just make everybody wana camp or get shot in the back a lot

Kill based modes seem okay. Search is unplayable, people walking around on top of the map and shit.
