Maps were great in cod4. Bog and wetworks (or whatever the ship was) were the only ones that had spawn issues. two half way decent snipers could level out the entire team. The only main issue for cod4 was the overpowered m16 and mp5, along with jugg. besides that, game is near perfect.
Mw2, i never had problems with tubes, the only thing they should have done is get rid of danger close, and get rid of the fact oma could replenish another or the same oma class (for infinite ammo and tubes). The game was goofy with the commando tac knifing, tubes, riotshield and so much more, but so much fun. A borderline masterpiece without its flaws.
Everything else is pretty much correct.
Ambush - not bad
Backlot - good
Bloc - dark and campy. the middle of the map is a death trap.
Bog - terrible
Countdown - good
Crash - epic
Crossfire - good
District - good
Downpour - dark, but decent
Overgrown - epic
Pipeline - good
Showdown - bad imo
Strike - not bad
Vacant - bad imo
Wet Work - dark and terrible
Overall they weren't bad, but MW2's elevation and ability to infinite sprint and fast climb provided much more routes and variations.
