Ive been using the vmp the past 12 hrs of gameplay and wow, its accurate fast and heavy damage...better than the vesper in every way except close combat melt time

Maybe if you only do nuketown vesper is better overall, but in standard maps and other game modes than hardpoint/domination, vmp is much better.
The vesper is superior in 1v1 gunfights in every situation and at any range. The recoil pattern of the vesper is virtually a non-issue and that's without grip from my experience. I rarely die due to my gun recoil, failing to track the enemy. The fire rate with the low recoil makes tracking people easy. The VMP with grip isn't as accurate. Vesper has cleaner irons and takes up less of the screen. I sometimes lose/miss people due to the size of the VMP.
I think the VMP shines against multiple characters and over longer streaks, though, since it's easier to manage ammo. I sometimes have to run scav to avoid running out of ammo with the vesper.
