first of all, pubs are pubs.. not sure what the "joke" is. private matches are laggy.. games like BO1/MW3/BO2 have really bad lag comp, so adding additional private match host advantage makes it even worse. when it comes to competitive, league play, or GBs, they play SnD very, very campy. they play methodical, passive, and boring. ADSing with an AR isn't fun to do or to watch. i don't claim to be better or make better decisions, because i play risky and pros play campy.
i played MW2/BO1/MW3 in their prime without a scuf and also part of BO2. i don't "need" it to do well. i was doing well with my xbox headset, wireless controller on a 42" HDTV. playing on a monitor with a good headset while using a scuf and a single kontrol freek didn't double my stats.. it just improved them.
i don't understand such hostile view towards the controller. i worked 4 hours to pay for mine.. i've played prolly 40 days worth of CoD since owning mine.
i don't see the comparison of using a jittered striker versus being able to knife/jump a little quicker or with a little better accuracy.
lastly, the 90ish people on my FL are all about 17-24.

This. Pubs are the foundation to any fps game, cod competition is pretty stupid, all you need is gun skill.barely any strats aside from designated gun users and simple pushes, no timed executions nothin, now with this all said I still love competition on cod. :).

I know how to do it and I do it when necessary. I play for entertainment and am constantly thinking about entertainment when it comes to my YT vids. Most people don't want to watch 10 min vids of someone camping with a remington. I'd much rather rush with a MTS.
Regardless, a scuf will improve stats. It's not subjective..it will. Whether you care about pub stats is irrelevant. I technically don't care about my stats, but I don't enjoy losing, plus I'm trying to get gameplays.. if my WL and KDR are higher as a result, then whatever.
In some aspects pubs and true competitive are apples to oranges, but it's a fact that competitive people don't have to deal with the BS in pubs. It's a different mind set. I have 90+ people on my FR.. I don't want to play with only 3 people and write down strats and get winded calling out everything. I play pubs and I try to win. I learn common routes and things that work over time and try to repeat them, just like competitive. Learning game sense is a skill, but having patience to camp and/or ADS isn't technically a skill. I know rushing balls to wall wouldn't work in competitive on certain maps, and if it did work, then they would adapt quickly, but that's fun imo.

Lemme guess cod is the only fps game you've played?
Not trying to offend you or competitive play but
From what I've seen, streams / tournaments, professional "cod" players dont do in depth strats, it's either push or wait a couple seconds, or two b or some shit, never see a proper execution or "great" teamwork in general.
