This event/season is different though as at previous events the spectators that were live in the venue could not hear the commentary of the shout casters. They changed that this time around and since headsets like Astro A40's are not 100% Sound Proof they are not allowed to use them.
So what the players are using are Ear buds for ingame and voice audio, and the MLG Supplied Sound Proof Headset to cancel out the commentators, Then for voice communication between their team they are using the Astro/personal headset as a microphone.

I like how it ways Turtle Beach Team Chat yet they aren't using beaches.

So where is the game sound coming from then if they are using earbuds to hear each other? Unless the noise cancelling headphones have sound.

This is only happening because Turtle Beach just released a really crazy headset that MLG wants players to get interest in but majority of players already have a pair of A40's which are completely suitable.
Also some issues between MLG and Astro

Sorry didn't see this for a minute because was a edit not a new post :p
The game audio is also coming through the earbuds, along with the voice.

Played a little bit last weekend, but recently been greatly into different PC Games, started with Path of Exile- Quit that.
Now playing Sim City shits fun.
