Well unless they change the run speed anything but a knife on a maniac is just OP imo. Even a pistol, yes a ar got better accuracy/range but most ppl is just scared when they see ur maniac running right at them and most people just spray and pray or think they can hide
But ofc. If they did cut down on the running speed a pistol would be pretty fair but i would still rather have speed+knife
