#1 thing I loved about mw2 was the sound. Even without a good mic you could put on awareness and hear the enemies a good distance away. Made an actual NEED for ninja and crouching to avoid detection.
Hit detection and lag is the #1 made up problem in all Cod's, 90% of the time it is just the person complaining. MW3 = the same thing as mw2 except they were too lazy to make any REAL changes. Personal hate for this game just because they expected you to pay 60$ for such little change...
Only regrets I have about BO2 is the no pro perks, target finders and the lack of sound based strategy.
Awareness in MW2?
MW2 and MW3 are immensely different. It's the people like you who ask for drastically different changes that made the franchise worse. A lot of people would be content if CoD4/MW2 just kept adding map packs. Yes, they add good features with every CoD, but they also always end up adding things that people don't like.
The differences between MW2/3:
-no stopping power
-removed infinite sprint
-added portable radar
-no shotgun secondaries
-penalized people for running around corners
-perk required to throw stuff fast
-made maps smaller with less flanks
-nerfed nades and semtex
-added weapon proficiencies
-added explosive damage delay at beginning of rounds
-can't switch classes between snd rounds without losing streak
-can click through streaks instead of using the exposed one
-added specialist and support
-added incentive to play objective
-added recon and made sitrep hear people with dead silence
-made it incredibly easy to get extended mags
-removed game-ending nuke
-removed painkiller, but added dead man's hand
-removed YY/triangletriangle
-etc
