MW2 - blast shield = best cod ever.

Stop bitching about things that were banned in any competitive games.

1. Since when was subtraction considered "bitching"
2. Lol? Is everyone supposed to play competitive just because you like to? I'm sorry, I must've COMPLETELY misunderstood the purpose of video games... this whole time I've been using them as a means of personal entertainment

Danger close wasn't the big problem to begin with.

What? Please tell me that isn't your opinion on the matter.

It was intended to be no more than an example, but yes, that is my opinion. The Intervention (imo) will go down as the smoothest sniper in CoD history.
RSASS is the best spam sniper I've encountered, but EBR isn't that far off.
WA2k is beast for more realistic/sneaky style sniping, allowing you to run cold blooded and still get OHKO's chest/head level.
And the MW2 Barrett was quite good as far as big clunky Semi-auto OHKO machines go.

Those well made snipers plus the maps and how frequently the larger maps were voted made sniping in that game just as viable an option as running Scar/Tar/ACR with SP.

Danger close wasn't the big problem, it was OMA.

Danger Close is the problem, OMA is just what allows abuse of the problem. Non-DC noob tubes were more often than not a 2 hit kill unless they hit 2 feet from your feet (which is very reasonable, unlike MW3's worthless tubes), so OMA'ing everytime just for a single kill with your 2 tubes would not be as worth it and therefore not as widely abused. Plus OMA doesn't allow the multiples of MW2's beastly RPG's and can add quite a bit of strategy to your gameplay switching between classes mid-run based on the objective or area you were heading into at the cost of a secondary and 3 seconds of helplessness.

People that whine about commando should just sit down.

Agreed completely, nothing to add.

Pubs would still be annoying to all hell with people running around with 2x DC'd Noob Tubes + 2x DC'd RPGs + DC C4/Claymore/Semtex + scavenger to replenish this montrosities, and on top of all that, being rewarded easy insta-kill killstreaks for using these beastly explosives in the first place.

Mmmm, depends on how you use "best." MW3 snipers were a bit OP if you knew what you were doing. Too easy.

And I disagree completely, Danger close wasn't a necessity, tubes were still strong as fuck. OMA allowed unlimited tubes, and everything else, that was a much bigger deal, not just buffed explosives.

Them having to actually move for scavenger packs would be better, instead of just putting on a new backpack and refilling all ammo in 2 seconds, nty.

I still don't think there would be 2-3 people every game sitting somewhere with OMA tubes if they weren't the insta-kill tubes DC makes them, especially not without DC pro which makes it jokingly easy to go Attack Chopper -> Chopper Gunner -> Nuke. They are decent on their own yes, but not good enough to sit around helpless just to get 2 more of them. Plus that was the only feature of OMA that could be considered broken, it also could add a lot of strategy and was definitely balanced in other accounts as you missed out on MW2's godly SoH, and lost secondary privledges, and (as I've said too many times) had to sit around helpless 3 seconds for each use.

... but to each their own (opinion). ^_^
