I mostly never had hit detection issues. It's just what allot of people bitch about with every COD game
If you have good internet, then you should enjoy the hit detection on MW2/Ghosts. I personally have around 90down/20up/40ping. From my experience these games have the best connection and hit detection.
MW3 used to be shitty at first, but then they patched it to be decent..still, it has inconsistent connection issues. Currently, ever since the life cycle stopped, it seems like the connection has gotten worse. Sniper shots have a massive delay between when you fire and when you have recognition nowadays. I dunno if this is related to the consistent amount of hackers, but it's definitely not like it used to be.
BO1 is the worst offender. Sometimes you'll see someone's character looking to the right and all of a sudden they're shooting straight forward before their character's animation catches up with it. The hit box almost never matches the sprite/avatar. BO1 drops frames consistently, which is why the animation is so choppy and inconsistent.
BO2 is decent, but it's also inconsistent. If you experience any kind of lag or poor hit detection against someone using a remington, tac, or kap40, then you're going to have a bad time.
