it's still connection warfare, so the better accuracy is a bit arbitrary.
just as many corner campers in core, especially on ghosts.
theoretically to counter your final point - that's where team communication would come in.
but we both know that the cod community is pretty horrendous, so the idealized game will never exist.
Connection deaths are at an all-time low in comparison to the last 3 CoDs. MW2 was the last CoD without severe lag comp. Accuracy is still important, especially since a lot of guns have some recoil, especially without grip. If someone is getting the jump on you, then most likely you're being caught sprinting, have been soundwhored, are on the radar, or the person has quickdraw.
I realize campers are everywhere, but I was referring to being able to react to them. Turning on someone is less likely in HC or being able to escape around a corner is less likely as well.
Talking about team communication outside of GB/competitive isn't really relevant, plus it's a different 'skill'. I make consistent callouts myself, but I never rely on randoms or even friends to do the same. If the callout saves them, then great, but I'm moreso giving the callout to improve my personal WL.
An ideal experience is somewhat under your control. Surrounding yourself with people you want to play with is a choice. If people don't want to game with you, then you're not ideal. I have good stats and generally expect the same from my friends list. These vary from CoD to CoD, but I usually only add people who know what they're doing.
