They're called "Supply Drops". You do challenges in-game and they are given to you afterwards.

You get things like guns, perks, equipment, killstreaks, etc. But I'm not sure if you get to use them as a bonus for one game or it's just another way of unlocking things lol, maybe someone else can clarify.

Only request I have about this system is that battlepacks aren't the only way to get certain sights etc on weapons like they do on BF4.

If the 'battlepacks' were to drop something like unique camos or something, that would be something i'd be interested in.

Briefly heard about them, but haven't researched the specifics. Seems like another anomaly to mess with balance. Personally, besides the care package quests in MW2, and having it automatically equipped in default classes in certain CoDs, I never use anything to hold me back on rushes. I don't use care package, ammo crates, or ballistic vests.
