IMO if you plan on investing any time into fps games as a casual player id reccomend a monitor, 100-200 for a decent-good one. Not only for try hards

Id rather play in my home theater on a big ass screen where i can also just switch to my tv and start watching a movie or just a serie automaticly while sitting on a couch, than being on a small chair sitting just next to a 24" cheap screen, using a headset cause too poor to have speakers everywhere in your basement.
Small screen are not "better" than big screens for fps, all you have to do is get used to it.
It's been proven smaller screens are far superior no matter how used to a big screen you are.
