3 reasons why i say 'No':

1 - there are other more beneficial perks that will save you more often or help with an objective. sacrificing other perks for off the grid isn't a fair trade.
2 - satcoms in ghosts aren't very powerful. to truly utilize the locations for your benefit you have to stop for a second to view the entire map. in previous cods, the map was more square and more likely to give a better example of location without always having to open up the map. i stopped using satcoms all together since they didn't benefit me more than other streak options.
3 - i almost always use an unsilenced weapon, so my location isn't always a secret anyway. i also am rushing super fast with smg/agility/marathon, so my orange circle isn't going to be accurate to what the enemy sees, especially if they're not viewing the entire map.

Good arguement and point well taken i can deff see what you mean so far im leaning on a not using it anyone else have any opinions?

i only have 1 class that has like all stealth things to be sneaky

aside from that nope, better perks to use

Alrighty thanks guys for the description on our thoughts looks like ill continue to not use it ill have to try that agility/marathon combo with a smg can you outfun a maniac or still no?

pretty sure you can outrun the maniac actually or long enough to kill it, assuming you know how to traverse a map fluently. i've only had one true outplaying of a maniac since people don't get them often in SnD, but i had the bomb planted and it was a 1v1 situation, so i kept shooting the person and strayed them away from the bomb to buy time, then went back and killed him while he was defusing.

Im always using this perk, but im mainly going for KEM, so i need it just to be sure that they dont see me. If you are a camper or a sniper, or just someone going in the middle of the action ( without silencer ), this perk wont help you.

depends on your play style really

Im a flank rusher i dont go out in the open i tend to rush sides and come up behind the enemy team and typically will go back to my side kills a few once i see where my team mates are dying run back behind them get them out of their spots so my team can take back over (sometimes i get really bad members who die and just keep going to the same spot and dying trying to kill the same person instead of flanking them from behind but thats pretty much my play style im never where my majority team is at im always trying to flank the back of the opposite team and rush through them. So wasnt sure if it would be viable in helping me do this as I play tdm/dom mostly and i do NOT use a silencer as the spawns are so bad still its mostly pointless and i get sound whored even when i do almost like im not even using one and i hate how much a silencer nerfs damage in this game so ( not sayin its a bad thing )

If the enemy is running out a lot of satcoms I would rather use wiretap than off the grid if rushing.
