It can only go into a weapon because of the min/ED bug and for that jewel to give more damage than a 15 maxer it needs to go into a weapon with a base avg damage of at least 41, no such weapon exists at lvl 18. So for that jewel to be usefull it needs something extraordinary. A little ar (most lvl 18 will probably use dual angelics) and some fire res doesn't cut it if you ask me, elemental damage isn't that common at lvl 18.. MAYBE if you feel you want to be able to add some fire res you could have a switch weapon with this in for those match ups, but I still think it's too little and too uncommon to be bothered with. But you would probably want some form of robo weapon with many of these in and that would loose you too much damage for melee as most lvl 18 melee uses clegs sword (huge DS%)

Read above, I think I'd rather take 1 more max damage than the fire res at lvl 18. #4 would socketed into clegs give +3 min and +4 max which is too little for what you gain, if you ask me. I'm not that good at conc barbs but I think that even for those I think the defence is too small. Mana is allways nice, but again, too low damage for those adders to matter, if you ask me!
