3. Solve by any method: -(k+1)^2+7=-43

(k+1)^2 =36 add 7 to each sdie and multiply by -1

k +1 = 6 square root each sdie

k = 5

the answer to number 3 is wrong because you would have to subtract the 7 before multiplying by -1
