For BPH or hair loss?

Hair loss it’s prescribed and given typically through ointments.

I’d look for minoxidil/finesteride spray/topical. Most studies show that the bioavailability is similar and nearly identical to PO finesteride, but you get the added bonus of the minoxidil.

Sorry, po is oral.

Also, topical is systemic. It works the exact same way, minus it being applied to the area. It gets in your blood, causes a shift in your potassium channels and results in vasodilation. That dilation increases blood flow to smooth tissue, which results in more hair growth.

Tl;dr, take the spray and topical stuff.. But the mechanisms are all the same.

yeee, thought so

but basically the absorption through the skin of finasteride is so high i might as well just drink the damn thing? cause im having second thoughts here. and vasodilatation was for minoxidil i assume  ?

Right, sorry. Yeah, don’t drink it. I’m saying that the mechanism of action of oral finesteride is the same as topical and studies show the same level of efficacy. The dosing is different between oral and topical, though.

Just take it and watch for side effects, you’ll be fine “usually”.

Unlikely, I was taking 500mg test E e2.5d for months and never developed gyno. I doubt you’re gonna have gyno from stopping DHT synthesis.
