I bought 400mg pills and with my multi vitamins goes up to 500, is it too much?

Depends what brand. Some are shit.
Depends if you do exercises daily and metabolism.

I'd say no.
I'm at around 300-700mg/day

around 700 being my workout days. (Food + supplements.)

your body uses magnesium every god damn minutes.

What is the magnesium in your bottle.
The normal average human have a diet with almost jack shit of magnesium

I think it's a really small amount in my multivitamin, like 50mg- so most likely negligible(I actually feel like I'm going slightly less to the bathroom, or the same). Seems like citrate or oxide are popular ones for that

Interesting never seen those in a lot of multivitamins. I've just seen oxide, citrate, and aspartate. In order of most seen to least. Aspartate is the most absorbed of the 3

Seems like both malate and biglycinate are pretty good forms
