How much sugar can you have per day without it worsening your condition? ty

There is no exact number, as it varies for each person, but most recommendations are to limit your "added sugar" intake to less than 10% of your daily caloric intake.

So if you eat around 2,000 calories a day, try to limit yourself to about 50g of added sugar per day.

As a prediabetic you should be mostly focused on the added sugars, not as much on the natural sugars.

Have you looked into seeing an Endocrinologist? They are typically your best bet when it comes to managing diabetes and prediabetes.

without a complete picture of your health it is hard to answer this.

1. if you are overweight, losing body fat mass can help with glucose tolerance.

2. if you are not physically active regular exercise can also help

3. if you have chronic conditions you may want to read about fasting. google dr jason fung. he has info you may find interesting

If you are pretty active (5-7 days a week 60+ mins) and eat around 2000-2500 calories then you shouldn't be worried about your sugar content. Of course the less, the better. However exercise alone will keep you away from DM, assuming you are fairly active.
