I was diagnosed with trochlear dysplasia and a partially torn ACL

I did my physio/yoga/stretch/etc but I can't seem to be comfortable doing any sort of leg work outs/jogging/stairs without eventually getting some sort of pain. My dr keeps telling me to keep on whatever i'm doing, but i'm itching for leg gains.
jsp got any advice or should i go to a trainer

OR is this uncomfortable pain just something I will live with for the rest of my life

Go to a certified specialist, a physio who happens to be a trainer I suggest.

Need way more info and it probably would be best to see a PT that specializes in knees/athletics.

Was it allograft or autograft? How long since the surgery? Pain where?

The usual progression is making sure you have proper range, working into strength and stability (think more than just your knee. Hip/ankle strength and biomechanics), working back into plyometrics/functional tasks (work in single planes with eccentric drops and progress to higher heights, single-leg, etc)

Again, it would be much more beneficial for you to see a physical therapist that knows what they are doing (some aren't great with return to sport and can only get you back to where you are now)
