Even for close grip it would vary person to person. Ask 5 random gym goers to close grip bench and you probably get varied results.
I used to bench semi close grip with elbows tucked quite a bit (when I got 350 actually). By close I mean where the bar is typically smooth and goes rough, about two fingers widths past it
My CGBP my middle finger is right where the smooth and rough meet
Bench I used to put index fingers on the comp rings cuz tall AF, but now I just put my ring fingers on them cuz it feels like I can generate a lot more power, fuck the lower rom
