I've got mixed feelings! I don't mind the results, but I don't necessarily agree either. I've always valued back>front, and I think that's why I'm slightly biased towards Phil Heath. I do appreciate that we're moving in the direction of front/back being equally important, and the emphasize on a good midsection, but I'm still not 100% convinced!

That being said, Shawn Rhoden looked incredible! If Phil took it, I'd probably jump on the "robbed" train. In other words; I'm torn and probably had both winning 50/50. I think I'll need to let this digest before I make up my mind.

Congratulations to Shawn Rhoden!

Also, opinions on other divisions?

Breon was lights-out. Eventhough I'm a sucker for Chris Bumstead -> he got destroyed from the rear (pun not intended). I'm sad Regan Grimes (RGarmy!) didn't place higher, but I'm with Jay Cutler on this one - he's fit for men's open, not classic. henomenal physique, but shouldn't be doing classic.

Shawn's midsection was pretty damn impressive, but he essentially has no arms. I've seen gym bros and gym rats with better arms than this guy.

I'm glad Roelly made the top 3, he's my favorite by far. I'm not really sure why they removed so many points from him. The score card had roelly far behind phil and shawn. Roelly has the best most muscular hands down. His arms are fucking jaw dropping. Good back (needs some lower back). He controlled his mid section. Good legs.

Every year I feel like Roelly gets robbed. No wonder he won the people's champion award.

Ramy is basically all talk at this point. "I brought something new that people have never seen this year". He probably meant water weight.

I agree on Shawn. I feel like they put as much emphasize on Shawns mid-section as they've put on Phils back the previous years.

I'm happy on Roellys behalf as well. However, I didn't think he deserved any higher (if that was what you were suggesting). I've always been a Roelly fan, but just like Kai; his physique isn't olympia-pretty. Something feels "off". The flow, the proportions -> there's something with those physiques I just can't get behind.

Ramy was disappointing indeed. His quads are out of proportion to the rest of his body - and he lacks conditioning/striations. He needs to downsize imo.

Well deserved, hope this is a new era even for the open to start prioritizing shape and condition with emphasis on the mid section over mass, Shawn is extremely aesthetic, and for ONCE it was recognized and appreciated, hopefully it sets a precedent for open class to aim for more then just size.

Only disappointment was Wesley Vissers landing literally in last place, I have no clue how, by no means was he a top 3-5 as hes just blossoming, but comprable to the 6-10th he had a very good physique, not to mention his posing and proportions are more classic then even those at the top of the league.

he needs to bring up the legs, back, and conditioning, and continue to mature and peak and he can easily be the reigning Mr. O
