I know theres a lot of controversy on the subject, and it looks like for cutting heavy weight with low reps is the way to go. But is there any benefit or harm in lifting moderate weight with higher reps 15 ish ?

Thanks

Predominantly 70-85%. I wouldn't go above 90% in a deficit.

The simple argument is that since youre cutting, youre malnourishing yourself so doing hypotrophy (high reps) is redundant as you usually need to be in a surplus to build mossol

Most concurrent research shows that around 70-85% done for triples is one of the most effective ways to preserve LBM during cut.
This is hugely impacted on so many different things though that it's almost not worth it to get into it.

Body composition

Weight
Natty/Enhanced
Bodyfat%
Training modality

Essentially try to keep getting stronger even though you're probably not going to be able to.
If you reduce something (volume, frequency, intensity, periodization, etc) cut from volume. Keep intensity if possible.
